Lovebug turned 2...so now we are in the process of transforming her nursery into her "Big Girl Room" with her very own "Big Girl Bed!" Soooo exciting! This will be her 6th night in her new big girl bed...and much to my surprise, the adjustment was an easy one. She has not had much of a problem at all making the change from her crib to her bed. I was expecting her to have more difficulties making the adjustment because not only did she get a new bed, but we replaced her nursery furniture with all new furniture that COMPLETELY changed her room. My little girl made the change, like she has most others over the past two years...with intoxicating enthusiasm! I have always said it, Lovebug is an extremely well adjusted little girl...she enjoys her routine, but sure knows how to roll with the punches! IM A PROUD MOMMA!

THIRSTY FOR THOUGHTS THURSDAY
QUOTE OF THE WEEK
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask oursleves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Acutally, who are you notto be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking yourself so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

"Smile at each other, smile at your wife, smile and your husband, smile at your children, smile at each other - it doesn't matter who it is - that will help you grow up in greater love for each other." ~Mother Theresa

Just getting started!
I've been wanting to begin a blog for a while now, but kept putting it off...this early morning my insomnia is rearing its pretty head...so I figure, what better time than now?!
Truth is, we all have a story (or a few); life experiences that we carry around with us everyday! Some are good, others are bad...but either way, they are ours! They are ours to repress or reflect on, to learn from and even to share with others. I TRY to let my experiences accesorize my life! I like to think of my good, great and amazing memories as my favorite pair of stilettos...that perfect accessory to bring my stride a little more confidence, beauty and happiness! Those bad, ugly and miserable experiences...well, lets just say, its nice to think of those pesky things as that old worn-in, beat-up designer handbag stuffed in a box in the back of my closet...and then call it vintage! Those memories might be beat-up...I might rather just repress them and never think of them again....or I can break out that "vintage" handbag from the back of the closet and wear it proudly. Its accessories like this that give us character...that set us apart from everyone else! NOW....lets share!!!! :)
We share, we analyze and we learn from each other's stories. I think that the ability to relate to antoher woman's rants, joys and heartbreaks help us to make sense of our own! We all do it! We do it most everyday over coffee, or even better, over wine. We do it at a park on a playdate standing next to a fellow mommy gabbing about binkies and potty training while pushing our kiddos on the swing...or sometimes on our computers late at night, blogging, reading, typing what-have-you's from our day...this is what we DO...its like shopping...ITS OUR THERAPY! By sharing, we may even, just possibly, help someone else find comfort in a time of need...heck maybe a complete stranger that you don't even know is reading and relating to your babbles of the day! Anyhow....this is why Im blogging! Welcome to my rants...can't wait to see where this leads.... :)
